The norwegian kosher-list

It can be challenging to keep kosher when living in Norway.  We consider it to be very important to be able to follow the laws of kashrut completely.  However, the Norwegian kosher market is too small for the producers to pay to be certified.  Therefore, the Jewish Community in Oslo has made a list so that one may identify which products are kosher.

The products on this list do not have a kosher certificate stamped on them to signal that they are kosher.  However, as a favor to the community, the producers have opened their doors to the production facilities.  They have also given us information about the ingredients as well as their origin, hence enabling community to produce this list

We hope it will prove a useful guide in the supermarket and in the kitchen.  The list is also available as a web application at koshernorway.shop
